Well, after seeing a confused comment on a fan clip from a F1nn5ter stream back in early May, I thought that I’d write a basic introduction.
And, yes, this article will be laser-focused on F1nn’s comedy career, although I will also briefly mention F1nn’s previous and/or concurrent careers too. I also apologise if I use any old-fashioned sounding euphemisms (eg: “ribald”, “risqué” etc...), since I’m not sure what you can and cannot say on the internet these days.
Anyway, I first stumbled across a F1nn5ter video on Youtube in July 2023 and I’ve been a fan of F1nn’s comedic stuff ever since. No, I don’t usually do “celebrity journalism” on here, but I’m willing to make an exception. Hopefully I won’t mess this up too badly…
Still, before we go any further: At the time of writing in early May, F1nn (who is genderfluid) pointed out in this fan clip that they are open to being referred to in any way, but view “she” as a compliment (but with the possible implication of “only occasionally”). And the video also includes a part about F1nn being more used to “he”. I really wasn’t sure which pronouns to use and, worried about accidentally using the wrong one, I eventually decided to go for the gender-neutral “they/them”. Previous articles here that mention F1nn were written at times when F1nn either preferred to use male pronouns or used a mixture of pronouns, and reflect this. And I apologise in advance if this article – prepared in early May 2025 – is out of date by the time it appears on here.
Anyway, here’s a basic introduction to F1nn5ter.
(Click for lager image) This is a screenshot from an official F1nn5ter Youtube video from March 2025. Seriously, the lighting design in their modern videos is sublime!
Born in 2000, F1nn spent their mid-late teenage years building a reputation as a fairly “ordinary” videogame streamer who almost exclusively played the game “Minecraft” (2011). For quite a long time afterwards, F1nn was still most famous for game-streaming. In 2020, F1nn – who regularly presented in a very masculine way – was seemingly also doing more general chat streams on Twitch and – for a laugh – told the chat that they would spend a week dressed as a woman if the chat donated a certain amount.
The donation goal was swiftly met and F1nn spent a week dressed as a woman. Often wearing very stylised and/or hyper-feminine outfits, but paired with a more masculine voice and personality. This one week was apparently such a success that the challenge was extended to a month, then two months… and I think that it went on for more than a year. F1nn5ter videos from this time (about 2020-22) are an absolute blast to watch! A masterpiece of comedy!
F1nn would also often lean heavily into the contrast between their hyper-feminine appearance and masculine personality in all sorts of hilarious ways with – for example – one old running joke being that they would often show off their collection of penknives and/or any fearsome-looking weapons that they could legally get their hands on at the time. This element has all but disappeared since some point in 2023-24 though. Still, “fearsome weapons” were much more of a hallmark of F1nn’s older videos, with a great example being this official video from 2021 (warning – brief fast-moving/flickering film clip, edgy humour etc…) where F1nn, wearing a pink maid outfit, gleefully shows off a small armoury of air-guns, as well as a couple of knives (though one type of knife shown in the video is – for obvious legal and safety reasons – a blunt “trainer” version).
The humour in these classic videos was also gloriously ribald in the most hilarious “late-night television” way possible. Not a show for the prudish but, if you have a sense of humour, then these videos – both older official videos and numerous fan clips – are often laugh out loud funny. Most of the humour in these videos emerges organically, with F1nn either telling funny stories about their life or bantering with the chat box on the corner of the screen.
This part of F1nn’s comedy career was also infamous for what is sometimes referred to as the “TenMuses saga”. One of the people in chat, a wealthy retired American doctor who went by the name of “TenMuses”, started regularly dropping comically large donations. There was an unsettling element of control to some of these donations, since “TenMuses” would often accompany them with mildly humiliating requests (much to the cruel amusement of chat). Thankfully, this element of the videos tapered off over time. And, from the last mention I remember hearing on Youtube, F1nn and “TenMuses” now have a much more balanced and respectful friendship.
In early 2023, F1nn was briefly banned from Twitch for adjusting their bra in a way that the moderators considered to be too risqué. Needless to say, when they returned, there were more than a few jokes about this in subsequent videos. In May 2023, F1nn also ran a successful fundraiser for LGBT+ charities as well.
At some point in 2023, F1nn’s then-girlfriend – the fashion designer/artist/chat streamer etc… “ICKY” – became a regular guest on F1nn’s streams. Most famously, the couple announced the relationship by suddenly kissing each other at the end of a Twitch stream. These videos have a very different dynamic to classic F1nn5ter videos, with many of the jokes coming from the contrast between F1nn’s larger-than-life personality and ICKY’s mildly more sensible/reserved personality.
Sometime in about 2023, F1nn also famously branched out into posting risqué photos on a certain website which became famous in 2020. I haven’t actually seen any of these, although Youtube fan accounts sometimes repost social media posts where F1nn references these photos in a vaguely “safe for work” way. I also remember at least one or two fan clips where F1nn talks about prospering from that website. However, as a public service announcement, I feel compelled to point out that most creators on that site apparently don’t even earn a living wage from it (A quick Google search revealed that, in 2024, the average monthly income was only about $150-180)! Financial success via that site is apparently very much the uncommon exception, rather than the rule!
In 2024, F1nn and ICKY also realised that F1nn might be autistic and there were at least a few on-air conversations about the topic. Although nothing has been formally confirmed in public at the time of writing in early May, F1nn gave enough examples for it to at least be very likely.
In 2024, F1nn – who still preferred being referred to with male pronouns at the time – also publicly “came out” as genderfluid. Ironically, their outfits in Youtube videos (and fan clips of her Twitch streams) have gradually become less hyper-feminine since 2020-22, probably because of F1nn finding a fashion style that actually works for them. Often a “T-shirt and baggy trousers” sort of outfit.
In 2024, by mutual agreement – and still remaining friends – F1nn and ICKY publicly split with each other and, although ICKY would return as an occasional guest on F1nn’s chat streams (and vice versa), F1nn’s comedy videos mostly just returned to just featuring F1nn. Occasionally, there have been other guests as well. Their videos from this point onwards still keep a lot of the ribald bantering with chat but also sometimes have a more serious tone, with more discussion of topics like mental health and the sorry state of LGBT+ rights in Britain and stuff like that.
In late 2024, F1nn took a month or two off from streaming. As of May 2025, they have returned to streaming – albeit much less frequently – but with more interesting “quality over quantity” content, with Youtube clips from one stream this spring being filled with anecdotes about a trip to Japan, as well as a hilarious official comedy video where F1nn – previously a life-long vegetarian – tries eating meat for the very first time (warning – flickering effects, mature humour).
And, as of the 3rd May 2025, this is a basic introduction to F1nn5ter’s comedy career. A comic who isn’t for prudish or narrow-minded people, but is also one of the best British comics that you haven’t heard of.

Anyway, I hope that this was interesting 🙂
