It’s been a long time coming, but Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture finally have a release date for their bloody sci-fi action title ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN. The first title from Grasshopper Manufacture in five years, players can dig into ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN on February 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam.
As one would expect, the story for the game is typical Suda51 bonkers. Snatched from the brink of death by his donning of the rad mask “DeadGear”, FBI Space-Time special agent Romeo Stargazer sets out to hunt the most wanted fugitives in existence across the multiverse, with a heady arsenal of guns and close-combat weapons. And as if being stuck in a strange limbo between life and death as DeadMan and tasked with navigating a shattered space-time continuum isn’t enough, Romeo also has to contend with the sudden disappearance of his mysterious girlfriend, Juliet.
Switching between swords and guns to fight, players will wipe out waves of enemies to “give birth to a new kind of bloody action,” while taking down the fearsome space-time criminals. Romeo will absorb the blood of his foes to unleash his special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Your weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as you take on even stronger enemies.
