Probably because I was playing “Withering Rooms” (2024) back when I made this digitally-edited painting, I was intrigued by the idea of what a “fixed camera” survival horror game set in the Victorian era would look like (And, yes, I know that “Curse: The Eye Of Isis” did this during the early-mid 2000s but I wanted to go in more of a gothic direction, with bold “Suspiria” (1977)-inspired lighting etc…).
